Full in-game controller-button remapping remains unconfirmed as of October 23, 2026. Steam lists full controller support and recommends a controller, but those features do not establish individual button reassignment.
Check the customization you actually need
A preset layout and full remapping are different options. Once the release build is available, check whether you can change individual actions, select alternate presets, or do both. Pay particular attention to guard, dodge, attacks, and secondary weapons if those are the actions you need to move.
Gameplay or menu prompts identify a current layout; they do not establish button remapping.
Also check whether tutorial prompts update to match the chosen layout. A database with an empty remapping field confirms neither support nor absence; it means the feature has not been documented there.
If a particular button arrangement is essential for you, wait for a direct test of that arrangement before buying. No specific controls-menu route or platform workaround is confirmed yet.
