Phantom Blade Zero Boss Replays

Quick Answer

You can revisit major bosses through another playthrough, but the announced launch version does not include a separate large-boss rush mode.

You can revisit major bosses through another playthrough, but the announced launch version does not include a separate large-boss rush mode. Repeated attempts while learning a boss and replaying a boss after you have already defeated it are different functions.

The pre-release plan also includes trial-like areas from Chapter 2 with smaller bosses or elite enemies that can be challenged repeatedly. Those areas are not a promise that every story boss can be selected from a standalone replay menu.

Major boss encounters are revisited through later playthroughs; this is not a boss-select menu.

Why another playthrough changes the fight

Weapon development can carry into New Game Plus. That means an earlier boss can become a different tactical exercise when you arrive with weapons acquired much later in your first run.

The optional Sixty-Six Days mode provides another way to revisit encounters, but adds a limited-death challenge. It is not required simply because you want to experiment with a familiar boss using a broader arsenal.

Do not rely on an unannounced replay menu

Exact challenge-space entrances and any chapter-selection controls remain unverified. The announced absence of a launch boss rush also should not be expanded into a claim that the developer can never add one.

As of October 23, 2026, plan major-boss rematches around later playthroughs and treat smaller repeatable trials as a separate feature. That keeps a purchase or practice plan aligned with what has actually been described.
