You do not need to complete Sixty-Six Days mode to earn Phantom Blade Zero’s Platinum trophy. The director says players can pursue Platinum on any of the first three difficulty settings, and that most players should be able to earn it in a single run. As of October 23, 2026, this is a pre-launch guide to those confirmed conditions, not a verified trophy-by-trophy walkthrough.
Choosing difficulty for a Platinum attempt
Wayfarer, Pathbreaker, and Hellwalker are the ordinary difficulty options discussed for achievement completion. The optional death-limited Sixty-Six Days challenge is separate.
Choose the difficulty that lets you explore and learn consistently. You do not need to select the harshest challenge simply because it exists, and an easy setting does not automatically disqualify an achievement run under the announced rules.

The ordinary difficulty choices appear alongside the separately unlocked Sixty-Six Days challenge.
What a one-run Platinum statement does not establish
The developer’s expectation is not a complete route. It does not reveal every trophy trigger, prove that all side content can be recovered after every story event, or establish an exact completion time.
The complete requirements for bosses, endings, collectibles, and missable quests still need confirmation before a guaranteed route can be established.
Preparing without committing to an unverified route
Explore optional branches and pay attention to side-story decisions as you progress. The game includes side quests that can influence story paths, so a rushed main-path playthrough should not be assumed to meet every eventual trophy condition.
Treat a released trophy list and tested unlock requirements as the basis for a full roadmap. Until then, the useful confirmed decision is that the optional 66-death challenge is not a Platinum prerequisite.
