Switch between your two primary weapons to refill Sha-Chi. The October hands-on build restores the meter on a primary-weapon swap, even when it is nearly empty. Switching has a cooldown, so this is a resource-management action rather than an unlimited instant refill.
Use the two-weapon setup
Soul can equip two primary weapons and change between them during combat. The restoration described in current previews applies to that primary-weapon switch; it should not be assumed to trigger whenever you use a secondary Phantom Edge.

This combat image illustrates an encounter; it does not show the resource meter. Check the HUD in your own control layout before relying on a weapon switch.
Before relying on a swap in a demanding fight, confirm that you have the second primary weapon equipped and recognize the relevant switching control in your selected layout. Use the binding shown by your selected control layout.
Managing the refill around incoming attacks
Use the refill as part of your attack-and-defense rhythm. Spending Sha-Chi on offense and then swapping can let you continue with a replenished meter, but a cooldown prevents treating the same action as an answer to every incoming hit.
Do not deliberately empty the meter simply because a refill exists. Check that switching is available and read the opponent’s next action before committing to more resource-intensive moves.
Preserving Sha-Chi between switches
Guarding consumes Sha-Chi in the October preview description. Correctly timed parries preserve your meter while applying pressure to the enemy’s, making them useful when you are waiting for the next available switch.
The exact cooldown duration, recovery rates, and final-release balance remain unconfirmed. Check the available switch before spending the rest of your meter; a refill that is still on cooldown cannot support your next sequence.
