A 60 fps base-PS5 experience is supported by pre-release development statements and demo reports, but it is not a verified performance guarantee for the finished game. As of October 23, 2026, no published release-build test establishes a complete final graphics-mode list or sustained frame-rate measurements across the campaign.
What the pre-release evidence supports
The development team used the base PS5 as an early performance baseline. GamerSky’s July 2024 coverage of the developer’s ChinaJoy presentation reported 2K and 60 fps on PS5. That supports an expectation of a 60 fps option; it does not establish native rendering resolution, the upscaling method, or how every demanding scene performs.
A smooth demo also covers only the content shown. A trailer's frame rate, a PC preview, and a PS5 Pro session cannot independently establish the frame-rate stability of the retail game on an original PS5.
Read the PS5 Pro label carefully

The enhancement label does not specify a frame rate for the standard PS5.
The store lists PS5 Pro Enhanced. That confirms a Pro-specific enhancement label, but it does not describe a final resolution-and-frame-rate table. It also does not mean the standard console is restricted to 30 fps.
| Claim | What you can conclude |
|---|---|
| Base PS5 development at 60 fps | A documented pre-release performance baseline |
| PS5 Pro Enhanced | Pro enhancements are listed |
| A smooth video clip | That clip appears smooth, without proving campaign-wide stability |
Decide how much certainty you need
If a stable 60 fps is essential to your purchase, wait for a release-build test explicitly recorded on the base PS5. Check demanding fights, exploration, frame pacing, and the named graphics setting. Avoid buying an upgrade solely because a Pro label appears beside the game; an upgrade has not been shown to be necessary.
