The director’s October estimate is around 25 to 30 hours for a full playthrough by an experienced player who does not get stuck on bosses. This is a development estimate, not an average measured from released copies. As of October 23, 2026, there is no verified player completion sample to turn it into a guaranteed finish time.
What the estimate covers
The recent interview describes a full playthrough, but does not provide a separate timed route for every collectible, trophy, ending, or difficulty. Treat the figure as an approximate first-run commitment rather than a promise of complete achievement coverage within 30 hours.
Boss attempts are a major variable. A player who learns encounters quickly may progress very differently from someone who spends an evening adjusting to one fight.
Why six-hour previews are not a timer
October press sessions spent several hours in the opening portion and sometimes jumped to later bosses with prepared equipment. Those sessions were not continuous start-to-credits runs.

Optional branches and return routes can change the time spent in a region.
Exploration also changes the pace. Optional routes can reveal equipment, encounters, and side stories, and some paths become accessible after obtaining new tools. Time spent returning to an earlier region belongs to your chosen route, not a fixed chapter allowance.
Planning a first playthrough
Reserve roughly the director’s estimated range, with additional room if you usually explore thoroughly or need many boss attempts. Do not multiply the length of a preview chapter by the total chapter count: later areas, curated fights, and starting equipment are not equivalent.
A completionist-hour estimate is not confirmed. New Game Plus and optional challenge runs are additional play, so keep them outside your initial scheduling assumption.
